GolfMagic is looking for a Staff Writer to join our editorial team as the website looks to build and capitalise on huge audience growth in 2025. GolfMagic is now one of the largest golfing media brands in the world with more than 4 million satisfied visitors a month, and more than 350,000 followers on social media and YouTube. Following yet another record-breaking 12 months of audience growth on GolfMagic, we are now expanding our content team further and looking to take things to the next level. Our new Staff Writer will get to write about all the latest Tour news, cover round-by-round Tour reports, look after our player profiles and tournament guides, and take full responsibility of our LIVE tournament blogs during the biggest weeks of the season. Our Staff Writer will also be tasked with equipment, instruction and course articles, and have a chance to feature on videos and our podcast.
Responsibilities include:
- Key focus areas will be Tour News, General News, LIVE Tournament Blogs, Player Profiles, Tournament Guides, Equipment News, Best Course Guides and Instruction Guides
- Write clear and concise copy on our Content Management System
- Proofread, edit and submit work to our Editor for input and approval
- Maintain the highest editorial standards for all content on GolfMagic
- Interview players, coaches and other members of the golf industry as and when required
- Must be able to work weekends and late nights to cover all the action in the United States
- To work with the wider team to develop the site content strategy
- To promote all published content on our Facebook and X / Twitter channels
Beneficial skills and experience include:
- NCTJ trained or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a Staff Writer or similar role
- Passionate about all things golf
- Good knowledge of all things PGA Tour, DP World Tour, LIV Golf and LPGA Tour
- Basic understanding and knowledge of golf equipment
- Confident with social media
- A willingness to work hard and learn new skills
